Applus+ IDIADA Secures 8 New European Innovation Projects

Applus+ IDIADA

Applus+ IDIADA once again reaffirms its commitment with the innovation with the award of 8 new European innovation projects for 2025, all of them key initiatives for the advancement of safe, connected and sustainable mobility.

One of the most emblematic is CERTAIN, focused on scenario-based validation for the safety of connected and automated vehicle systems, with a focus on user acceptance and validation of AI systems. This project, a continuation of SUNRISE, seeks to ensure the reliability of new autonomous mobility technologies, including all the interaction with the person while also ensuring compliance with homologation throughout the vehicle’s useful life. Led by the Applus+ IDIADA’s ADAS department, it will have the collaboration of Electronics and Homologations. The project will be implemented in our headquarters, Germany, and the United Kingdom.

For its part, EEA4CCAM aims to develop a centralized, cybersecure and upgradable electronic architecture for automated vehicles. This initiative responds to the technological challenges of the next generation of vehicles, ensuring their safety and efficiency in a constantly evolving digital environment.

FlexMCS aims to respond to the challenges associated with the massive deployment of electric trucks with the extension of network capacity and charging infrastructure. The project plans to design highly efficient charging centres with multiple chargers, integrating renewable energy sources.

In addition to these projects, Applus+ IDIADA participates in other important initiatives, such as CHORUS, focused on improving the efficiency and safety of urban mobility through systems that allow the effective integration of various types of transport; AIGGREGATE, which addresses the challenges of automated driving in complex and dynamic traffic scenarios with an integrated solution for collective decision-making; as well as other projects focused on the reduction of CO2 emissions.
